NTI receives Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to develop a multiplexed autoantibody and microRNA biomarker-based next-generation test for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), previously known as juvenile diabetes, in order to better assist in establishing early diagnosis of T1D, refine prognosis, guide management, target treatment, and improve patient outcome.

NTI receives SBIR grant funding from the NIH/National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) to develop an innovative test for early diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue, implementing a panel of microRNA and autoantibody biomarkers and overcoming limitations of current SLE testing.

NTI receives SBIR grant funding from the NIH/National Institute on Aging (NIA) to develop a multiplexed protein and microRNA biomarker-based next-generation test for Alzheimers Disease (AD), expected to improve early disease detection and implementation of optimized patient management strategies.

NTI receives SBIR grant funding from the NIH/National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) to develop a multiplex protein and microRNA biomarker-based test for protease activity profiling in arthritic joints which should prove highly useful for drug development and personalized treatments.
